PS 37:16-19
A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous. The Lord knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil times. And in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
Things to remember:
1. God owns it all – everything. He knows what we need -(Matt. 6:28-30) and His nature is provide for us. To believe something else is to not believe and trust the heart of God and His word. (Ps. 37: 25,28)
2. It is better to be righteous which is life indeed, than to be wealthy and dead in your sins. (vs. 16)
3. Proverbs 10:3 says ” the Lord will not allow the righteous soul to famish but He casts away the desire of the wicked.
No matter what the “economy” does or does not do for us, God is over it all and will not allow His true Children to suffer the famine of the World. God will provide for His own just as any good parent would their own flesh and blood children. WE – are His true seed – Born of Himself – by the desire and election of His will. Will He not feed us – cloth us and shelter us? OF COURSE HE WILL. So – let’s stop worrying and start believing Him at his word! Practice contentment for it is part of our salvation!
